E-resources Subscribed (ONOS)
One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) is a flagship national initiative of the Government of India designed to provide unified, country-wide access to high-quality scholarly research resources across all disciplines for students, faculty, and researchers of government-funded institutions. The scheme is coordinated and implemented by the Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) Centre, an autonomous inter-university centre under the University Grants Commission (UGC), with effect from 1 January 2025. It aims to democratise access to global research literature and foster research excellence, interdisciplinary learning, and innovation in Indian academia.
Under ONOS, participating institutions gain access to more than 13,000 international peer-reviewed e-journals published by 30 major global publishers through a single unified digital portal, eliminating the need for individual subscriptions and reducing duplication of expenditure.
Access and Coverage:
▪ Access is provided through institutional campus networks or secure off-campus login managed by INFLIBNET’s infrastructure. onos.gov.in
▪ The initiative covers nearly 1.8 crore students, faculty members, researchers, and scientists across central and state universities, colleges, and central government R&D institutions.
